The organizational structure has chairman at the highest level followed by the Principal and
Administrator at the college level. Chairman and Governing Council take decisions based on the
proposals recommended and presented by the Principal and the Administrator. The proposals are
prepared after obtaining requirements from the departments and sections. The department Heads
and Section Heads obtain the suggestions for department development from the department staff.
After a discussion with the department staff the concerned HOD presents their requirement or
suggestions to the Principal. Principal and Administrator discuss and make a tentative allocation
of funds, or recommendation for promotions etc., and then present the same to the Governing Council
for further consideration and approval
Nature and Extent of Involvement of Faculty and Students in Academic Affairs / Improvements
The syllabus is as per Visvesvaraya Technological University, the affiliating University. The faculty
prepare lecture plan based on the syllabus and adhere to the plan. Regarding laboratory work they along
with the concerned HOD recommend the equipments and software required to carryout laboratory work. The
students have freedom to express their views by dropping a letter in the suggestion box, they need not
reveal their identity in that letter. Further, a final evaluation of the faculty by the students is also
taken. To improve academic performance, the faculty conduct problem solving sessions (tutorials) and
additional discussion cum teaching classes.
Mechanism / Norms & Procedure for Democratic / Good Governance
The governance is based on democratic decentralized approach. The Head of the Department monitors
the working at the departmental level with the Principal as the overall monitoring authority. All
development activities at the department level are proposed by the HOD with due consultation with
the department faculty. Those proposals are discussed at academic advisory committee and considered
Student Feedback on Institutional Governance / Faculty Performance
A student can give views, suggestions through a letter and drop in the suggestion box.
Further, student evaluation of the faculty or a feedback on academic performance of
teacher is also obtained at the end of each semester.
Grievance Redressal Mechanism for Faculty, Staff and Students
A faculty member or staff presents their grievance through the HOD of the concerned department.
The HOD forwards such letters with his comments to the Principal. The Principal and the
Administrator will discuss and resolve the issue after personal hearing of the staff member.
In case of a student, he can represent his/her grievance as indicated above, or he can directly
meet the Principal or Administrator for necessary redressal.
